Adelaide’s captain, Jordan Dawson, was visibly moved as supporters paid homage to his brother, Jaryd Dawson, who tragically passed away earlier in the week.
During the 12th minute of the first quarter in the match against St Kilda—Dawson’s jersey number—a family photo was displayed on the big screen, encouraging fans to clap in support.
Despite being sidelined from playing, Dawson was present in a corporate box at the venue and was seen wiping away tears, with his head buried in his hands during the tribute.

Jaryd Dawson was reported missing on Wednesday, with authorities locating his body the following day. Police are not treating his passing as suspicious.
In a heart-wrenching tribute shared on Instagram, Jaryd’s wife, Jessica Carter Dawson, expressed her devastation, saying she felt “shattered into a million pieces.”
Jordan Dawson was ruled out of the game on Thursday but chose to attend the match on Saturday night.

Dawson was seen in the corporate box before the match, sitting beside his wife, Milly, and injured Crows defender, Mark Keane.
The Crows began the match slowly, likely influenced by an emotionally charged week, but managed to get back into the game during the second quarter.
