Adelaide captain Jordan Dawson was visibly moved as the crowd honoured his brother, Jaryd Dawson, who passed away earlier this week.
During the 12th minute of the first quarter in the match against St Kilda—where Dawson dons the No.12 jersey—a family photo was displayed on the large screen, prompting fans to applaud in solidarity.
Though not participating in the game, Dawson, seated in a corporate box, appeared deeply emotional as he buried his head in his hands during the tribute.

Jaryd Dawson was reported missing on Wednesday, with authorities finding his body the following day. Police have confirmed that his death is not regarded as suspicious.
In a poignant Instagram post, Jaryd’s wife, Jessica Carter Dawson, shared her heartbreak, describing herself as “shattered into a million pieces”.
Jordan Dawson was listed as unavailable for the game on Thursday but made a special appearance on Saturday night.

He was accompanied by his wife, Milly Dawson, and injured Crows defender Mark Keane.
Prior to the commencement of the match, Dawson was also seen in the corporate box.
The Crows had a sluggish start to the game, possibly due to the emotionally charged week they’ve endured, but managed to regroup in the second quarter.
