The Brisbane Broncos and NSW Blues are anxiously awaiting scan results after prop Payne Haas sustained a suspected knee injury.
Haas exited the field during the first half of the match against the Tigers, having incurred the injury during a tackle.
After making a run through the middle of Campbelltown Stadium, he found himself surrounded by three Tigers defenders who struggled to take him down.
While on the ground, Royce Hunt seized Haas’ legs, causing him to fall awkwardly as the weight of the three players forced his knee into an unnatural position.
Haas remained on the ground, visibly in pain, but eventually got back up to play the ball. He attempted to run it off but left the field shortly thereafter.

“Oh no … right knee. A crumpled figure,” commented Andrew Voss from Fox Sports as Haas lay on the turf.
Panthers great Greg Alexander expressed his concern, noting that seeing Haas down was alarming.
“You don’t often see that … his knee got bent inwards,” he said.

“Fingers crossed for him.”
Shortly before half-time, Fox Sports sideline reporter Tiana Penitani Gray confirmed that Haas would be unable to return for the remainder of the match.
Despite the injury, the Broncos managed to lead 18-14 at halftime in a back-and-forth contest.
