Warriors winger Alofiana Khan-Pereira enjoyed a standout performance against his former club, though it nearly ended in disappointment as his team narrowly held off a late surge from the Titans.
With a strong breeze at his back, Khan-Pereira kicked off the scoring with the first two tries of the match, including a remarkable aerial effort that bolstered the Warriors’ advantage, sending them into halftime with a commanding 22-0 lead.
“That first half has been a demolition job,” Luke Keary remarked for Fox Sports during the break.
However, the tables turned in the second half as the Warriors faced a more challenging game against a revitalised Titans side, who capitalised with four tries compared to the Warriors’ one.

The Titans mounted a late flurry of tries, briefly hinting at a potential comeback, but the Warriors ultimately managed to close out the game with a 28-20 victory.
During his time at the Titans, Khan-Pereira registered an impressive 53 tries in 54 matches from 2025 to 2026, and he made his debut for the Warriors just last week against the Storm.
Former Titan Tanah Boyd also contributed to the Warriors’ efforts with four successful goal conversions. He played a total of 69 games for the Titans from 2019 to 2024.

Boyd reflected on the difficulties of kicking against the wind in the second half, describing it as a “kick it and hope” scenario, while acknowledging that the team’s performance in that period was subpar.
“It was pretty disappointing … we let them back into the game and didn’t turn up for each other,” he said on Fox Sports after the match.
“We’ll work on that — that’s not the standard we want to set. While we’re disappointed, there were some positive signs today.”
Despite the Titans not being able to replicate their convincing win over the Eels just a week prior, league legend Mal Meninga urged fans to remain optimistic following the Titans’ improved performance in the second half.
“There’s definitely hope and positivity there,” he shared on Fox Sports.
“They played incredibly well in that second half — they kept fighting and didn’t give up.
“I’m confident that as the season progresses, they’ll start to believe in the processes and strategies that coach Josh Hannay is implementing, and they’ll start to see results come through.”
The Warriors are set to face off against the Dolphins on Anzac Day next Saturday, while the Titans will enjoy a week off to regroup.
