Warriors winger Alofiana Khan-Pereira had an impressive outing against his former team, though it nearly went to waste as his side narrowly escaped a late surge from the Titans.
Leveraging a strong breeze behind him, Khan-Pereira opened the scoring with the first two tries – showcasing a brilliant acrobatic effort to pad his team’s advantage – sending the Warriors to the halftime break with a commanding 22-0 lead.
“What a demolition job that was in the first half,” Luke Keary remarked for Fox Sports during the interval.
However, the second half proved far more challenging for the Warriors as they faced the wind. The Titans re-emerged as a transformed squad, managing to score four tries compared to the Warriors’ single effort in a notably improved performance.

As the Titans rallied with several late tries in the second half, they briefly seemed poised for a comeback, but ultimately time was against them. The Warriors held firm to secure a 28-20 victory.
Khan-Pereira had previously scored 53 tries in 54 games for the Titans from 2020 to 2025, making his debut for the Warriors only the week prior against the Storm.
Tanah Boyd, another ex-Titan, contributed with four successful goals. Boyd had played 69 matches for the Titans from 2019 to 2024.

Boyd remarked that kicking with the wind in the second half was a matter of ‘kick and hope’, but acknowledged that the team’s performance in that period fell short of expectations.
“It’s pretty disappointing … we allowed them back into the match, and we didn’t turn up for each other,” he stated on Fox Sports after the match.
“We’ll need to resolve that – it’s not how we want to play. We’ll be disappointed, but there were some positives to take away.”
Despite the team’s inability to replicate their commanding victory over the Eels from the previous week, rugby league legend Mal Meninga suggested that Titans fans should find encouragement in their second-half performance.
“There is definitely some hope and optimism,” he noted on Fox Sports.
“They played really well in that second half – they didn’t give up and kept fighting.
“I believe that by the end of the season, as they start to embrace what coach Josh Hannay is implementing, they will ultimately get it right.
“There were positive signs in that second half that should inspire all Titans supporters.”
The Warriors are set to face the Dolphins on Anzac Day next Saturday, while the Titans will enjoy a week off.
