Following a dismal run that saw them net just one goal in 11 encounters, Brøndby rejuvenated their attacking prowess with a stunning 6-0 victory over SønderjyskE on Friday night, thrilling their home crowd in Copenhagen.
Brøndby ended their troubling spell and climbed up the Danish Superliga standings to sixth place with an impressive performance, scoring six unanswered goals against SønderjyskE at home.
After VAR disallowed Brøndby’s initial goal for offside in the 14th minute, the home side broke the deadlock in the 25th minute. Mats Köhlert directed Sho Fukuda’s long delivery across the goal, allowing Jacob Ambaek to send a precise header into the net, leaving SønderjyskE goalkeeper Nicolai Flø with no chance.
The hosts then doubled their advantage, utilising a similar tactic as Köhlert set up Ambaek once more, who made it an easy finish to nudge the ball over the line.

Just five minutes before half-time, Brøndby increased their lead to three when a misjudged shot from Fukuda fell kindly to Nicolai Vallys, who calmly slotted it home.
The scoring barrage continued eight minutes after the restart, with Ambaek completing his hat-trick following a perfectly timed volley from Mads Frøkjaer’s cross at the back post, leaving Flø with no chance.
Then in the 57th minute, Ben Godfrey found himself completely unmarked in the box to make it 5-0, before Fukuda capped off a remarkable display by exploiting a brilliant pass from Frøkjaer to find space to the left of Flø and bagged the sixth goal for Brøndby.
