The Central Coast Mariners have officially announced the loan signing of Sabit Ngor to Heidelberg United ahead of the upcoming 2025 NPLM Victoria season.
Ngor initially joined the Mariners ahead of the 2024-25 season from Heidelberg after impressing during a trial with the Isuzu UTE A-League club, notably standing out in a surprising 3-1 victory for the NPL side in the Australia Cup.
The 24-year-old signed a two-year contract with the Mariners in September 2024, but after making only nine substitute appearances during his inaugural season with the Isuzu UTE A-League team, the club has opted to loan him back to Heidelberg to ensure he gains valuable playing time in a familiar setting for his development.
During his first five months at the reigning champions, Ngor made a total of 15 appearances across all competitions, netting two goals, which included an important equaliser against Adelaide United in Round 2 of the Isuzu UTE A-League season and a goal against Shanghai Shenhua in the Asian Champions League Elite.
A former youth player at Western United, Ngor scored five goals in eight matches for Heidelberg United after signing in the middle of the 2024 season.
This transfer marks the first departure for the Mariners in the current transfer window, following the arrivals of Abdul Faisal and Logan Sambrook at Gosford.
