Paris Saint-Germain extended their lead at the top of the Ligue 1 standings to six points, clinching their eighth victory in nine outings with a commanding 3-0 win over Angers SCO at Stade Raymond-Kopa.
In spite of making several adjustments to their line-up ahead of their UEFA Champions League semi-final in the coming week, PSG struck first as Lee Kang-in expertly rounded goalkeeper Herve Koffi to slot home, following a close-range save from Koffi on Achraf Hakimi’s initial attempt.
The dynamic Moroccan winger was particularly influential during the first half, seeing another attempt veer wide before forcing Koffi into action again with a well-placed curling free-kick.
Senny Mayulu then added a second for PSG, finishing neatly after receiving an incisive pass from Lucas Beraldo. Bradley Barcola had a glorious opportunity to further extend the lead before half-time, yet his delicate chip was remarkably cleared off the line.
Angers struggled to make an impact, though Amine Sbai did have a goal ruled out due to an offside in the lead-up.

It didn’t take long into the second half for PSG to net a third goal, as Beraldo provided the delivery, heading in Lee’s inswinging corner.
Prosper Peter had an opportunity to respond just before the hour mark, yet he skewed his shot wide from a promising position.
Goncalo Ramos also saw his placed effort go narrowly wide, as PSG continued to pose a threat. However, he received a second yellow card for a late challenge on Koffi, which left Angers with little chance to redeem themselves.

Angers’ struggles were highlighted by Jacques Ekomie’s wild effort that soared well over the crossbar, leaving them with just one goal in their past five home fixtures and no victories in their last five matches overall (D2, L3) – marking their longest winless streak of the season.
Nevertheless, they require only a single point from their last three matches to secure their safety for another season, while PSG has loftier aspirations of defending their title. With a remarkable 20th consecutive head-to-head win over Angers, they seem well on track to achieve this.
