Roma secured their unbeaten home streak in Serie A this season to nine matches (W7, D2) with a dominant 3-0 victory over Pisa at the Stadio Olimpico, extending their lead to four points over Atalanta in seventh place, whom they are set to face next week.
Remarkably, none of Roma’s last 66 league matches ended in a draw, and they wasted no time in asserting their dominance, taking the lead after just three minutes. Donyell Malen dazzled with a solo run, smashing the ball into the net past a stranded Adrian Semper.
Bryan Cristante nearly added a second soon after with a powerful header from a corner, but it was expertly blocked, showcasing the Giallorossi’s attacking flair.

They had to wait until the closing moments of the first half for their second goal, which came when Malen scored again with a composed finish following a smart through ball from Devyne Rensch.
Before that, Lorenzo Pellegrini had rattled the crossbar with a free-kick, while Pisa were struggling to keep up with the relentless pressure from the home side.
At the start of the second half, Malthe Højholt had a chance to reduce the deficit but was denied by a fine save from Mile Svilar, who kept Roma’s two-goal cushion intact.
This save proved pivotal as Roma extended their lead shortly after, with Matías Soulé providing another assist for Malen, who calmly netted his third of the match, slotting the ball into the bottom corner.
Pisa’s hopes were all but dashed, although Stefano Moreo did give Svilar another test with a header from a free-kick just before the hour mark.
As the game progressed, Roma comfortably eased off the throttle while Pisa continued to search for a consolation goal.
Rafiu Durosinmi had a crack from long range, but his effort lacked the power to trouble Svilar, who ensured that Pisa remains firmly at the bottom of the table after suffering a league-high 14 defeats without finding the net, looking increasingly likely for a quick return to Serie B.
In stark contrast, Roma celebrated their 14th league victory without conceding, trailing only behind league leaders Inter Milan (15) in this regard, as they maintained a perfect record against teams currently in the relegation zone (W5).
