Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is thrilled with the assurance that Ethan Nwaneri, 17, has displayed following the team’s victory over Leicester City on Saturday.
Nwaneri was a standout every time he got on the ball during the match.
After the game, Arteta remarked: “What he’s demonstrating out there is simply who he is. Of course, his age does raise certain questions about how we manage him.”
“However, every indication he’s given us is ‘Let me go for it, let me go, let me go, let me go.’ When a player is showing all those signs, you shouldn’t hold him back.
“Players need to express themselves with that level of freedom, creativity, and confidence, which is exactly what he’s doing at the moment, and his teammates also believe in him.”
“So let him play, as he poses a significant threat, has immense talent, and has earned his place on the pitch.”

He further added: “I reckon he was one of the few players in the first half who consistently made things happen when he was in possession.
“You could tell he brought a different level of threat compared to the rest of the team, and he maintained that in the second half with two excellent plays, including setting up Mikel (Merino) for a header that resulted in a goal.”
