Motorsport Australia is excited to announce that applications for Round 1 of the 2026 Supercheap Auto Club Development Fund have officially opened, with a deadline set for 22 June.
After a successful round of funding in 2025, which was proudly backed by Supercheap Auto, Motorsport Australia is continuing its commitment to support grassroots clubs and their initiatives as well as infrastructure improvements.
Since its inception in 2015, the fund has distributed over $112,000 in grants to clubs affiliated with Motorsport Australia, enhancing their efforts to boost participation, increase safety, and provide upskilling opportunities for volunteers.

As in previous funding rounds, clubs can apply under three distinct streams.
These streams are categorised into: Safety and Operational Equipment, Volunteer Upskilling, and Club Capacity Building and Participation Programs.
For 2026, there’s an exciting new addition to Funding Area 3 named ‘Innovative Participation & Pilot Programs’.
This category focuses on innovative participation initiatives that don’t fit into the existing categories of Funding Area 3.
This change opens the door for more imaginative and creative projects to be funded.
Applications must be submitted online by 22 June 2026, at 5:00pm AEST.

Among the latest round of funding recipients, the Kempsey Macleay Off Road Club allocated their funds to essential fire and recovery equipment, including fire extinguishers, blankets, tow ropes, and first aid kits.
Club representative Pauline Lee remarked that the additional funds were pivotal in acquiring new gear.
“The Kempsey Macleay Off Road Club committed to matching funding from the Supercheap Auto Club Development Fund Grant for fire and recovery crew equipment,” Lee noted.
“The staff at our local Supercheap Auto store in Kempsey have been incredibly supportive and delighted that our club secured a grant for such crucial equipment.”
Clubs interested in applying for the Supercheap Auto Club Development Fund are encouraged to reach out to their Motorsport Australia Regional Development Executive to discuss their project before submitting an application.
All successful applicants will also receive a Supercheap Auto gift card, which can be used at any of their 280 stores across Australia.
