As the regular season of the Ninja A-League wraps up and the Isuzu UTE A-League approaches its climax, there’s a lot to look forward to. Not to mention, another prestigious trophy is up for contention: the A-Leagues Club Championship.
Introduced before the 2021-22 season, this championship combines the performances of clubs competing in both the Isuzu UTE A-League and Ninja A-League.
Melbourne City emerged as the inaugural champions, amassing 79 points—13 points ahead of Sydney FC—thanks to their triumph in the Isuzu UTE A-League Premiership and securing second place in the Ninja A-League’s regular season.

<p>City retained the trophy for the 2022-23 season as they notched a remarkable total of 85 points, with their men’s team winning a second consecutive Premiers Plate, while the women’s side secured a commendable third-place finish.</p>

<p>In the 2023-24 season, the Central Coast Mariners claimed the trophy from Melbourne City for the first time.</p>
<p>Mark Jackson’s team had a sensational season, capturing a treble that included the AFC Cup and the Isuzu UTE A-League Premiership/Championship double, while Emily Husband’s Ninja A-League squad reached the semi-finals in their first season back in the competition.</p>
