A group of female Australian rugby league players found themselves needing to switch hotel rooms in the early hours after discovering an intruder in their accommodation while in Las Vegas.
Indie Bostock, a 19-year-old player in the NRLW, took to TikTok to share her experience following the frightening episode that occurred on Saturday (AEDT).
“Changing hotels because while in Vegas for a tournament, your room gets broken into and you find a six-foot man standing there at 4am,” Bostock captioned a clip of herself and her teammates moving their bags through the hotel.
Bostock had played for the Dragons last season but recently departed the club for personal reasons.
She is currently part of the Aus Vegas Angels squad participating in a two-day tournament, coinciding with the NRL’s double-header at Allegiant Stadium.

The coach of the Angels, Jeff Killick, alerted the hotel about the break-in, revealing that it wasn’t an isolated incident. He reported that at least one other room was also compromised during the night.
“We’re staying on the top floors – 31, 36, 38, 39. This morning, the trainer told me he woke up at 4:45am, heard a noise and saw his light turned on. There were two people in his room,” Killick mentioned in a News Corp report.
“His roommate grabbed a chair, and the intruders said, ‘This is Vegas.’ Then they bolted out of the room.”
After reporting this to the authorities, Killick then found out about the situation in Bostock’s room, which she shared with fellow player Georgia Wiley.

According to Killick, Georgia Wiley shared that they experienced a similar situation, waking to find a man with a beard and a beanie in their room, who swiftly exited the premises.
“Parents have placed their trust in me. Some of the girls mentioned that sometimes when another door on the floor closes, their door pops open,” he added.
“We learned today that anyone can access upper levels. This could have resulted in a far worse scenario.”
Killick also stated that in a separate incident in Las Vegas, some parents visiting the area encountered a man “with an axe attempting to rob them” while at a supermarket. Thankfully, the supermarket’s security managed to chase the man away.
