Wests Tigers centre Patrick Herbert made a stunning return to the NRL after a four-year hiatus, showcasing his talent with a brilliant try assist followed by a try of his own during a commanding first half against the Knights at Campbelltown.
Herbert, who hadn’t featured in the league since his time with the Titans in 2022, was a late addition to the Tigers lineup.
With the Tigers comfortably ahead 12-0, Apisai Koroisau passed to Herbert on the fourth tackle, close to the try line.
Despite being immediately tackled, Herbert managed to free an arm and delivered an overhead pass to Sunia Turuva, allowing him to score his second try of the evening.

With just five minutes remaining in the half, Herbert capped off his performance by breaking away down the right flank, feigning a pass to evade Fletcher Hunt, and scoring a try.
