South Korea, set to face Bafana Bafana, has outlined its preparation strategy for the 2026 World Cup, which features a training camp in Salt Lake City, USA.
Bafana will play their final match against the South Koreans in Guadalajara on June 24, where South Korea will also establish their training camp during the tournament.
Prior to that, they will spend time in Salt Lake City, a location selected by coach Hong Myung-Bo for its altitude of approximately 5,000 feet, which closely mirrors the conditions expected in Guadalajara.
Myung-Bo is set to announce his final squad on May 16, providing ample time for Bafana coach Hugo Broos to assess his choices, as he is expected to reveal his final line-up around nine or ten days later.
The South Korean team will depart for the United States on May 18 and plans to organise two friendly matches during their training camp. They are scheduled to relocate to Guadalajara on June 5, just a week prior to their opening match against the Czech Republic in Zapopan on June 11.
Following that, they will face Mexico in Zapopan on June 18, leading up to their encounter with Bafana.
