Jackson Warne, the son of the late Shane Warne, has suggested that the COVID vaccine played a part in the unexpected passing of his renowned father in 2022.
The legendary Australian cricketer succumbed to a heart attack due to atherosclerosis while on holiday in Thailand at the age of 52.
According to the autopsy, Warne’s death was attributed to natural causes.
In a discussion on the 2Worlds Collide Podcast, Jackson was asked about the circumstances surrounding his father’s death and if the COVID vaccines, administered less than a year prior, could have influenced it.

“I firmly believe that it played a part,” Jackson stated. “I don’t think that viewpoint is seen as controversial anymore. Even if Dad had underlying health concerns, I believe this exacerbated them.”
“My initial reaction after I ended the call was to hold the government accountable. I instantly thought about COVID and the vaccine.”
Shane Warne was honoured with a state memorial service at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Victoria just weeks after his death.
During the service, Jackson expressed his feelings and revealed he considered publicly criticising the Victorian government regarding the mandatory nature of vaccinations.
“Participating in the state memorial, funded by the Vic Government and hosted at the MCG, made me feel uneasy because it required certain protocols, including crowd photos and other formalities,” Jackson explained.

“During the state memorial, I nearly voiced my frustrations towards the government and COVID, but I refrained from doing so. It was wise of me to hold back – my circumstances could have been drastically different had I spoken out.”
“That was my sentiment. Even after the past three or four years, my perspective hasn’t changed.”
Following Shane’s death, Jackson, along with his sisters Summer and Brooke, initiated the Shane Warne Legacy Health Check, a free service aimed at raising awareness about cardiovascular health risks.
Shane Warne, who claimed 708 Test wickets, remains one of the finest players in Australia’s cricketing history.
