At just 18 years old, Griffin Peebles from Victoria is swiftly establishing himself as a standout figure in the international motorsport arena.
Having recently finished as the runner-up in the Le Mans Cup LMP3 category with Rinaldi Racing, Peebles is focused on advancing to the next stage of his burgeoning career.
The young racer stunned his competitors on the grid during his endurance debut at the 2024-25 Asian Le Mans Series, clinching victory in his first LMP3 race at the 4 Hours of Dubai. Peebles and his team maintained their momentum, achieving podium finishes in all three additional races and securing the Championship title in Abu Dhabi.
In the 2025/26 Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS), Peebles made his LMP2 class debut, which provided him with invaluable experience ahead of his next motorsport venture, the 2026 European Le Mans Series (ELMS).
“In LMP2, as the name indicates, there’s significantly more power and downforce, resulting in much higher cornering speeds. I didn’t anticipate achieving standout results during the ALMS,” Peebles shared with Motorsport Australia.
“However, I found decent speed throughout the ALMS races, and to walk away with a win in the final race was beyond my expectations. It was an incredible effort from everyone at DKR Engineering.”
“The ALMS this year was intensely competitive, featuring many top HyperCar Pro drivers and elite teams. Finishing fourth in that championship with a win is just fantastic,” he added.

Late last year, Peebles joined United Autosports, becoming part of their PRO LMP2 line-up in the ELMS, alongside Gregoire Saucy and Ben Hanley.
The 2026 ELMS season kicks off at the 4 Hours of Barcelona on 12 April.
Residing in Valencia, Griffin juggles his responsibilities both on and off the track while still completing his A-Levels at school.
“I’m fortunate to have a racing simulator at home, which I use almost daily, particularly in the lead-up to races,” Peebles remarked.
“I also have a personal trainer close to my place here in Valencia, and I train with him at least three times a week.”
“We’re doing some pre-season testing with the team, but the track time is far less compared to lower-tier series like Formula 4.”
“In endurance racing, you share the car with other drivers, and the teams are much larger. This drives up testing costs, resulting in fewer testing days.”

For Peebles, endurance multi-class racing has always been his “true passion.” He believes that the team dynamics in endurance racing are more intense, and already being a race winner in the new car during the 2025/26 ALMS season is surreal for the rising star.
Previously, Peebles spent two seasons competing in Formula 4, where he ultimately claimed the title of 2024 Formula Winter Series Champion in Spain.
Pre-season testing for Peebles is scheduled for 6-7 April at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
