After a bustling weekend at the Australian Grand Prix held at Albert Park, numerous officials made significant contributions to the success of the event. Among them was Michele Du Buisson, who is advancing through the ranks and emerging as a promising leader in the near future.
Based in Cairns, Michele Du Buisson has established herself as a crucial member of officiating teams across various national events in recent years.
Since April 2024, Michele has been a General Official with Motorsport Australia, and she is approaching her two-year anniversary in this role. Additionally, she has honed her skills in circuit racing and achieved her accreditation as a Bronze Circuit Official in July 2025.
Most recently, Michele played a pivotal role as a Pit Sector Marshal during the Australian Grand Prix, overseeing the general pit lane officials due to her extensive experience and expertise.
Pit Lane Chief Rhys Carleton-Carlos expressed his admiration for Michele’s professionalism and the guidance she provided to her team during the Grand Prix.
Having collaborated with Michele at several national-level events, including Supercars and last year’s Adelaide Grand Final, Rhys has witnessed her competence in action.
“The feedback I received from Michele’s team was overwhelmingly positive,” Carleton-Carlos shared with Motorsport Australia.
“You can sit down with Michele prior to an event and clearly outline the tasks at hand, and she grasps them instantly.
“She adheres to the correct processes perfectly, which leads me to believe she has the potential to evolve into an outstanding senior official in the future.
“She’s already performing well, but I see great leadership qualities in her going forward, which is encouraging to see as a senior official.”
