IMSA SportsCar Championship – Sebring
Porsche Penske Motorsport has once again demonstrated its endurance supremacy, capturing a one-two finish at the iconic Sebring International Raceway in Florida. The 2025 Motorsport Australia Gold Star champion, Matt Campbell, contributed significantly to the success by securing the second position on the podium in the #6 car during the 12 Hours of Sebring.
Right from the outset, Campbell’s team and their sister #7 Penske vehicle engaged in a fierce battle for the race lead, exchanging positions in a thrilling contest that remained unresolved until the final moments of the race.

The ultimate victor was Porsche Penske Motorsport’s Felipe Nasr, Julien Andlauer, and Laurin Heinrich, who triumphed in their Porsche 963.
The #7 vehicle led Campbell’s sister #6 car—featuring Kevin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor—by a slim margin of just one and a half seconds after a grueling 343 laps.
In the GTD category, Tom Sargent clinched a commendable third place driving the #120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911, alongside IndyCar ace Callum Ilott and Adam Adelson, who started the race from seventh on the grid.

However, the team’s achievements faced a setback after incurring a drive-through penalty. Nevertheless, Ilott and Sargent showcased their skills, maintaining the car’s position in the hunt for the podium.
“Honestly, it’s a bit surreal right now,” reflected Sargent post-race.
“Callum had a fantastic last stint, and Adam was exceptional throughout the day. He clocked some impressive times, as did Callum.”
“After a disappointing turn of events at Daytona, which was out of our control, we truly earned this result.”
“We bounced back without making any mistakes, and that’s reflected in our performance.”

The next round of the IMSA SportsCar Championship is scheduled for the Grand Prix of Long Beach on 18 April, featuring both GTP and GTD categories in action.
