Sea Eagles captain Tom Trbojevic was substituted after sustaining two heavy knocks in quick succession during the match against the Dolphins.
Trbojevic showcased his formidable skills on Thursday night, scoring the first try for his team and assisting in another during a stunning performance in Redcliffe.
However, the 29-year-old also endured a couple of significant impacts.
Initially, he took a high ball only to be met with a jarring hit from a chasing Connelly Lemuelu, who was subsequently put on report for high contact.
After that incident, Trbojevic was deemed fit to continue, but moments later he was involved in another tough moment, this time caught in a three-man tackle by the Dolphins.

Replays indicated the back of his head made hard contact with the ground, causing him to rise slowly.
“Nothing illegal, it’s just part of the tackle,” Andrew Johns commented on Nine.
“The back of his head hits the turf quite hard. You wouldn’t take any chances; it’s best to bring him off.”

Trbojevic left the playing area and made his way up the tunnel accompanied by doctor Nathan Gibbs.
Nine’s Bronte Gildea confirmed that he was classified as category two and, after undergoing 15 minutes of assessment, was cleared but did not return to the game.
Just last week, his elder brother Jake was removed from the game for a head injury assessment but was found not to have sustained any concussion following a challenging season.
Manly delivered a dominant performance against the Dolphins, a mere week after Anthony Seibold was dismissed as head coach and succeeded by Kieran Foran.
