Ben Donaldson, playing as five-eighth, made a swift dash to the halfway line and launched a kick towards the right corner, leaving both teams momentarily out of position.
Only Potter, positioned on the right wing, was alert to the situation. He dashed forward, scooped up the ball just short of the try line, and successfully leapt over to score.
Despite two Chiefs defenders being close by, they were unable to impede Potter’s advance.

Although Luke Jacobson attempted to tackle him just as he was diving to score, he could not prevent the five-pointer.
Ultimately, the Chiefs triumphed with a score of 56-22, extending their lead over the Crusaders at the top of the table by five points.
The Crusaders are set to face off against the Highlanders in Dunedin on Saturday night.

The Force are now preparing to face the Blues in their next fixture.
“Our aim was to come here and hunt as a team,” remarked captain Sam Carter during the coverage on Stan Sport.
“We witnessed some fantastic moments, showcasing brilliance in attack and solid defence, but facing a quality side like the Chiefs demands consistency throughout the entire 80 minutes.
“We had promising spells, especially in the first half, and a few in the second half. However, the Chiefs are extremely dangerous, particularly when they gain loose ball, which can be challenging to defend against.
“Every match in Super Rugby has been vital this year, with many strong teams in contention,” Carter emphasised.
“We’ll take valuable lessons from this game, and we need to improve as we prepare for next week against the Blues.” – with Wide World of Sports
