The Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship (AORC) is excited to announce Comiskey Mining Services as the naming rights sponsor for the 2026 season, marking the 45th anniversary of the championship.
This will be the first time in its history that Comiskey Mining Services has taken on the role of naming rights sponsor for the national championship.
Renamed the Comiskey Mining Services Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship, this partnership signifies a significant advantage for the event.
Comiskey Mining Services has been a strong advocate for off road racing for many years. Directors Brett Comiskey and Brendan Camilleri have both been enthusiastic off road competitors for nearly a decade, with Camilleri’s son Kye regularly competing in the Pro Buggy category.
Josh Blanksby, CEO of Motorsport Australia, expressed his enthusiasm in welcoming Comiskey Mining Services as the new naming rights partner for the championship.
“The involvement of Comiskey Mining Services as naming rights partner for the championship’s 45th anniversary is a remarkable milestone,” Blanksby stated.
“Brett Comiskey’s long-term engagement in off road racing is well recognised within the community, and Comiskey Mining Services’ involvement this year underscores that commitment.
“We are thrilled to have Brett, Brendan, and their team on board as we gear up for what promises to be a fantastic 2026 season.”
Brett Comiskey, Managing Director of Comiskey Mining Services, joined Blanksby in expressing his enthusiasm as the start of the 2026 AORC campaign approaches in less than two weeks.
“Off road racing has been an enormous passion of mine for many years, so supporting the championship at this level holds immense personal significance for me,” Comiskey remarked.
“As a local, family-owned enterprise, we are proud to partner with Motorsport Australia and the Off Road Championship, contributing to the ongoing development of the sport.
“With the season just on the horizon, we can’t wait for the competition to begin.”
Campbell Smith, Off Road Manager at Motorsport Australia, highlighted the historical significance of Comiskey Mining Services’ support for the upcoming season.
“Having Comiskey Mining Services back the championship in its 45th year adds substantial importance to the season,” Smith concluded.
“Their commitment exemplifies the strength and forward momentum within Australian off road racing.
“This partnership will enable us to continue providing a competitive and professional national championship.”
The 2026 Comiskey Mining Services Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship season kicks off with the Pooncarie Desert Dash in Pooncarie from 10-12 April.
