Zac Lomax is poised to make his debut for the Western Force against the Queensland Reds in Brisbane come Saturday night, as per various reports.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald and Code Sports, Lomax is expected to feature in the Force’s squad for the match, which will be announced on Wednesday afternoon (AEDT).
Veteran player Kurtley Beale drew a comparison between Lomax and his former NSW Waratahs and Wallabies teammate Israel Folau, noting the impact Lomax can bring to the team.

“Zac possesses the same kind of presence and athleticism,” Beale stated in his comments to the Herald.
“His experience at the top level in rugby league with representative teams like Origin and the Kangaroos is invaluable,” Beale added.
“We’ll undoubtedly look to utilise his expertise during critical moments, especially as we seek to improve in that area right now…”
“He’s a solid bloke, physically impressive, and quite tall, making him a fantastic asset in the outside backs to gain momentum on the edges,” he remarked.
Force coach Simon Cron has indicated that Lomax, who hasn’t played rugby since he was 15 years old, is expected to start out on the wing.
The Force currently sit in 10th place out of 11 teams in the Super Rugby Pacific competition. Lomax has signed a contract with Rugby Australia that extends through next year’s home World Cup.
