The club promptly issued a statement acknowledging the incident.
“The St George Illawarra Dragons confirm that a merchandise trailer belonging to the club overturned in a single-vehicle incident on the M1 near Mount Ousley this afternoon,” the statement read.
“The crash occurred on a downhill bend while heading towards WIN Stadium.”
“Fortunately, the driver emerged unscathed.”
The beleaguered Saints are set to face Manly at WIN Stadium, with coach Flanagan making a series of changes to his squad in a desperate attempt to reverse their fortunes this season.

Kyle Flanagan will step in as halfback, Daniel Atkinson will move to five-eighth, and Tyrell Sloan will take over at fullback in place of the injured Clint Gutherson.
Young back-rower Jacob Halangahu has been omitted after limited playtime in last weekend’s disappointing 32-0 defeat to the Cowboys.
The match is set to kick off at 6pm AEST.
