IndyCar – Phoenix
Aussie Will Power reckoned with a challenging start at the good Ranchers 250, launching from the back of the grid after a qualifying mishap the previous day. Yet, Power’s sheer speed and tactical nous propelled him back to the forefront.
On Lap 207 of 250, Christian Rasmussen made an attempt to overtake Power on the outside after several laps of persistence, only for the Andretti Global driver to shut the door on him.
In the ensuing contact, Power’s rear right wheel struck Rasmussen’s wing, sending him crashing into the outer wall.
This incident left Rasmussen’s car with significant suspension damage, impairing his performance and resulting in a drop to 14th position by the time the chequered flag fell.
Power ultimately completed the race in 16th place, having led for 10 laps during the event.
IndyCar will make its return on March 16 with the Grand Prix of Arlington.
Formula Winter Series – Aragón
Emerging Australian motorsport star George Proudford-Nalder made his mark in Europe with a commendable podium finish in his debut single-seater race at Motorland Aragon during the Formula Winter Series, while fellow competitor Noah Killion consistently battled in the leading group.
Proudford-Nalder commenced his journey into single-seater racing at one of two events in Spain, gearing up for the upcoming GB4 Championship.

The opening race on Saturday proved to be a nail-biter, taking place under challenging, slippery conditions that deteriorated further with rain. George put in a solid performance, climbing four spots to break into the top five on the first lap, but eventually lost a few positions to finish the race in seventh overall, while Killion crossed the line just ahead in sixth.
Both Australian drivers struggled in the second race, finishing 15th and 16th respectively, with Proudford-Nalder edging Killion by a single place.
George rebounded in the third race, securing ninth overall and fifth in his class, marking a promising conclusion to his weekend ahead of his next outing in Barcelona.

Killion, the reigning AU4 Champion, finished 17th in the final race and will be keen to bounce back in Barcelona later this week.
