Ben Tudhope has secured another medal during his competition in Italy, bringing home bronze in the men’s banked slalom SB-LL2 event.
Just a few days after clinching silver in the snowboard cross, Tudhope returned to the slopes for the banked slalom – a solo time trial challenge.
The 26-year-old dislocated his shoulder when he launched from the gates in the snowboard cross, yet he seemed unfazed by the injury as he competed on Friday.
Italian athlete Perathoner took charge of the competition, delivering an impressive run with a top time of 54.28 seconds, thereby earning his second gold medal in Italy.
This marks the third occasion in Tudhope’s career that he has reached the podium, and notably, it’s the first time he has secured two medals at this prestigious tournament.
He stands out as the only athlete from Team Australia to achieve this feat in Italy thus far this year.
