Paris Saint-Germain has advanced to the UEFA Champions League knockout stage for the 13th year running, obliterating Stade Brestois 7-0 in the second leg of their playoff at the Parc des Princes, securing a 10-0 aggregate victory.
After a solid 3-0 win in the first leg, PSG already seemed set for the last 16 and aimed to extend their lead quickly. Ousmane Dembele showcased great skill before Bradley Barcola sent a shot narrowly into the side netting.
Stade Brestois sought to capitalise on counter-attacking opportunities and almost reduced the deficit when Marquinhos cleared an effort from Pierre Lees-Melou off the line.
But it was the hosts who opened the scoring in the 20th minute, as Barcola connected with a brilliant long pass from Fabian Ruiz and finished clinically at the near post past Gregoire Coudert.
From then on, PSG comfortably controlled the match, with Brest struggling to manage the relentless pace and movement of Luis Enrique’s squad.
The home side quickly doubled their advantage when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia netted his first Champions League goal for PSG, tapping in at the far post after Barcola directed a Joao Neves cut-back into his path.
The visitors endured a challenging first half and soon squandered a prime chance to pull one back when Gianluigi Donnarumma produced a stellar save against Lees-Melou, with Mama Balde unable to capitalise on the rebound.
Ruiz came agonisingly close to adding to the tally just three minutes after the break, but his effort from a Dembele assist went wide of the target.
Brest were determined not to be eliminated without a fight, and Lees-Melou struck the post, yet PSG responded by extending their lead with a goal from Vitinha.
Ruiz provided the assist for the Portuguese midfielder, who unleashed a superb right-footed strike that beat Coudert.
Substitute Desire Doue marked his entry into the match with a goal just three minutes after coming on, as Goncalo Ramos brilliantly navigated past Brendan Chardonnet and set up the Frenchman for a deft finish.

PSG showed no signs of letting up against their Brittany rivals, scoring their fifth through Nuno Mendes, who found the net with a simple tap-in from Achraf Hakimi’s cross.
Ramos then got on the scoresheet for the sixth with a delicate finish, courtesy of a low assist from Doue.
To round off the evening, Senny Mayulu added a seventh with a close-range effort after being set up by Kvaratskhelia.
This crushing defeat marks a harsh exit for Roy’s team, who will reflect on their fourth loss to the reigning champions this season, having conceded three or more goals in every match.
With this result, PSG has extended their longest unbeaten streak against any opponent in history to 32 matches (W24 D8) and now awaits their round-of-16 encounter against either Liverpool or Barcelona.
