The Women’s Introduction to Motorsport program provides an engaging opportunity for aspiring motorsport enthusiasts to get behind the wheel and gain confidence in a structured, nurturing environment.
Scheduled for Wednesday, 8 April at MotorMall Raceway in Neerabup, Western Australia, the WA Sporting Car Club is collaborating with Motorsport Australia to deliver a Women’s Introduction to Motorsport session at the state’s leading circuit.
Whether you’re entirely new to the sport or looking to enhance your foundational knowledge, this program aims to cultivate essential driving skills while familiarising you with the core aspects of performance and vehicle control.
The event features a comprehensive day that combines an informative theory session with hands-on, practical on-track activities, focusing on driving posture, vehicle dynamics, braking techniques, and overall car control.

For participant Jalyn Bryce, who joined a Women’s Introduction to Motorsport event last year at Sydney Motorsport Park, the standout moment of the day was experiencing the thrill of the track in a secure and friendly atmosphere.
“Getting out on the track and truly feeling my car in a safe environment, away from the typical risks, was fantastic,” Bryce shared.
“It opened my eyes to the fact that motorsport is within reach, and there are friendly individuals willing to answer queries and guide you in your journey.”
“The experience has helped me determine which beginner courses to explore next to see if track driving is something I would enjoy. While it was just an introductory event and I’m still uncertain about pursuing it further, this opportunity was essential in helping me identify where to begin and who to turn to.”

Participants will engage in sessions including slalom, evasive manoeuvring, and Motorkhana, culminating in competitive Motorkhana runs. This provides a clear pathway into motorsport within a safe and welcoming setting.
If you’re aged 14 or over and are interested in exploring the world of motorsport, this event is perfect for you.
