Cole Palmer has made it clear that he has “no plans to leave Chelsea,” despite speculation surrounding a potential return to Manchester.
The 23-year-old winger has been linked with a high-profile move to Manchester United in recent weeks, with reports indicating he feels a longing for his home city.
Though his season has been affected by various injuries, Palmer has still managed to net nine goals and register one assist across his 21 Premier League appearances.
In an interview with The Guardian, Palmer expressed his commitment to Chelsea and shared his eagerness to see which players the club brings in during the upcoming summer transfer window.
When addressing the transfer rumours, he mentioned: “People just love to talk.”
“When I come across these stories, I find it amusing. Of course, Manchester is my home and all my family live there, but I don’t feel that I’m missing it. Perhaps I might if I haven’t been back for three months or so, but whenever I do return, I realise there’s nothing really for me there anymore.”
“I have no plans to leave Chelsea. There’s still plenty to compete for. We’re facing Leeds in the FA Cup semi-final, and if we secure a Champions League spot, it will position us well to attract the players we need.”

“We’ve spoken to the owners and they’re confident about the players who will deliver. Reece wouldn’t sign a six-year contract if he hadn’t discussed things with the owners and directors.”
“Reece and I often discuss what we need, the players we should be aiming for, and the direction we want to take. He wouldn’t commit to a new contract without knowing the plan.”
