Sky Sports Austria reports that Danish Under-21 international midfielder Clement Bischoff has been removed from Red Bull Salzburg’s senior squad for the remainder of the season following a training ground dispute with Daniel Beichler. The club has confirmed this development.
“The decision has been conveyed to the player and his representatives during a personal meeting. The cause is a disciplinary issue that occurred during team training, resulting in the Dane training alone until the season concludes,” stated the club in a comment to TV2 Sport.
Bischoff’s most recent appearance was in the 0-1 home loss to Rapid in mid-March. Subsequently, he was absent from the squads against Sturm Graz and Hartberg. During last Friday’s home match against LASK, Salzburg confirmed the occurrence of a disciplinary incident during training.
Both Bischoff and his management were informed that the suspension would remain in effect until the season’s end and that he would no longer participate in team training. Instead, the attacking midfielder will conduct individual training sessions for the coming weeks.
The 20-year-old arrived at Salzburg from Brøndby last summer but has had difficulty securing a spot in the starting lineup. Throughout 24 competitive matches for Salzburg, Bischoff has netted two goals and provided five assists.
