Following an exhilarating final round in the Isuzu UTE A-League’s regular season, the top six teams are now confirmed for the 2026 Finals Series.
Adelaide United secured a Semi-Final berth by clinching a last-minute winner in their final regular-season match, with Luka Jovanovic netting twice to lead them to a 2-1 victory over Melbourne City at AAMI Park. This win propelled them to second place after an eventful final day.
This outcome also appears to guarantee Adelaide a playoff entry into the prestigious AFC Champions League, as the Reds remained unbeaten in their last ten matches, finishing second and earning a week’s break.

The Reds are joined in the Semi-Finals by the Newcastle Jets, who accomplished the feat of becoming first-time Premiers. Their historic season has secured them a week off following their top finish in the Isuzu UTE A-League.
The Jets will aim to achieve a domestic treble as they commence their Finals campaign in the second week, facing the lowest-ranked Elimination Final winner.
The opening week of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2026 Finals Series will feature two electrifying Elimination Finals.
