As reported by Sky Sports Austria, Danish Under-21 midfielder Clement Bischoff has been left out of Red Bull Salzburg’s senior squad for the remainder of the season following a disagreement with coach Daniel Beichler during a training session. The club has officially confirmed this development.
“The player and his representatives were informed of the decision during a personal meeting. This decision stems from a disciplinary incident that occurred during a team training session, which has resulted in the Dane being required to train individually until the conclusion of the season,” the club stated in a response to TV2 Sport.
Bischoff’s most recent game was the 0-1 home loss to Rapid in mid-March. Following that match, he was absent from the squad for fixtures against Sturm Graz and Hartberg. During last Friday’s home game against LASK, Salzburg confirmed that a disciplinary matter had arisen during training.
Both Bischoff and his management have been notified that his suspension will extend until the end of the season, and he will no longer participate in team training. Instead, the young midfielder is required to train alone for the remaining weeks of the season.
The 20-year-old Dane made the move from Brondby to Salzburg last summer, but has found it challenging to secure a place in the starting eleven. In his 24 competitive appearances for Salzburg, Bischoff has netted two goals and provided five assists.
