Norwich Part Ways with Danish Head Coach Johannes Hoff Thorup After Three Consecutive Losses

Norwich City have parted ways with head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup after a disappointing streak of three consecutive defeats in the Championship.

Assistant head coach Glen Riddersholm has also exited his role at the club.

Sporting director Ben Knapper remarked: “While we approached this appointment with a long-term vision that aligns with our overall club strategy, the recent results and performances have compelled us to make this change.”

“I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Johannes and Glen. They are both outstanding individuals who dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to advancing our football club.”

“We wish them both all the best in the next chapter of their careers.”

Jack Wilshere, along with assistants Tony Roberts and Nick Stanley, will step in as interim management for the first team for the remaining two matches of the Championship season.

The Danish coach had taken the helm in May 2024 after the dismissal of David Wagner, who was let go following the Canaries’ play-off defeat to Leeds United.
