The Canberra Raiders have officially invited UFC president Dana White to sound the Viking horn as they kick off their campaign in Las Vegas.
As reported by The Sydney Morning Herald, the club has reached out to several prominent American sports figures, with White being their top choice.
The controversial figure behind the UFC has confirmed that he will be present at Allegiant Stadium on March 2 (AEDT), marking a significant boost for the NRL.
Raiders’ CEO Don Furner stated that there is potential for White to play a more interactive role rather than just being a spectator in the crowd.

“We’ve contacted a few notable celebrities, including Dana White, Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll,” he shared with the Herald.
“It would be a privilege for us if any of them were able to sound the horn, providing fantastic exposure on a global scale.”
Dana White was recently seen mingling with various rugby league personalities at UFC 312 in Sydney, notably chatting with back-rower Hudson Young.
Several players from the Las Vegas Raiders have also been approached, as the Aussie club has been forging ties with their American counterpart over recent years.
Due to the costs associated with bringing their usual Viking horn overseas, Canberra will have a special version made for the occasion.
This initiative from the Green Machine coincides with a broader ambition from the league’s executives to entice Donald Trump to the double-header event.
