Central Coast Mariners’ goalkeeper Annalee Grove has been awarded the Shark Player of the Month for March/April following a fan vote.
Grove emerged as a pivotal player for the Mariners during the latter part of the Ninja A-League regular season, participating in 16 matches as the team narrowly missed out on a spot in the Ninja A-League Finals Series.
In the four matches that fell within the voting period, Grove managed to keep an impressive three clean sheets, contributing significantly to her team’s unbeaten streak of four matches by the end of the regular season.

Henry was in contention for the Shark Player of the Month award in February, recognised as one of the top 10 rated players according to FotMob’s rating system.

The monthly nominees for the Shark Player of the Month award are drawn from the 10 players who achieve the highest FotMob ratings (ranging from 0.0 to 10.0) during each voting period.
The March/April eligibility period covered Rounds 19-22 of the Ninja A-League, with matches played between March 13 and April 5 featuring in the FotMob assessment.
During this period, Grove recorded an average FotMob rating of 8.15, securing her nomination as the Shark Player of the Month and surpassing notable competitors like Wellington Phoenix’s Brooke Nunn and Brisbane Roar’s Momo Hayashi.

Understanding the FotMob Rating System
The FotMob Ratings are driven by advanced data from Opta/Stats Perform.
FotMob utilises a variety of statistics and parameters through an algorithm to generate detailed player ratings. This algorithm adjusts and weighs the data based on the player’s position, ensuring that each athlete is assessed on the most pertinent facets of their performance.
This method allows FotMob to provide an equitable and precise representation of a player’s impact on the field. FotMob Ratings are widely acknowledged and trusted by media organisations, clubs, and scouting professionals internationally for analysing and reporting on player performances.
