Sydney FC has re-engaged Championship and Premiership-winning defender Charlotte McLean for the concluding two matches of the Ninja A-League season.
A former recipient of Sydney FC’s Player of the Year accolade, McLean has been training with the Sky Blues in recent weeks and will be eligible for selection in this weekend’s encounter against Melbourne Victory.
McLean played a key role in the Sky Blues squad that clinched both the Premiership and Championship. She returns to strengthen the defensive line, as several players are currently unavailable due to their selection for the Young Matildas.
“It feels incredibly special to be back at Sydney FC,” McLean remarked after signing her new short-term contract.
“This club means a great deal to me, and I’ve felt very welcomed by the girls over the last few weeks of training.”
She continued: “I’ve really enjoyed reintegrating into the environment and I’m eager for the opportunity to support the team in these final two matches.”

“I hope to contribute in whatever way the coaches require, and I’m keen to help us finish the season on a high note.”
Head Coach James Slaveski welcomed the experienced defender back and believes she will provide crucial depth in the closing stages of the season.
