Auckland FC’s Neyder Moreno Named Shark Player of the Month for January/February by Fan Vote

In-form attacking midfielder Neyder Moreno from Auckland FC has been honoured as the Shark Player of the Month for January and February, following a remarkable month filled with goals in the Isuzu UTE A-League.

Moreno clinched this prestigious award after a fan voting process, outshining a competitive field that included four other players from Auckland FC. Black Knights striker Logan Rogerson secured the second spot, while teammate Francis De Vries took home third place in the voting tally.

Moreno was nominated for the January and February accolade after achieving one of the top 10 ratings on FotMob’s evaluation system.

Each month, the top 10 players, as per their FotMob ratings (ranging from 0.0 to 10.0), are shortlisted as nominees for the Shark Player of the Month award.

The eligibility for the January/February award encompassed Rounds 16 to 20 of the Isuzu UTE A-League season, with performances documented between January 24 and February 23 factored into the FotMob ratings.

During this period, Moreno recorded the second-highest FotMob Rating (8.15), just behind De Vries, who achieved an 8.20.

The Colombian international netted four of his seven seasonal goals during the eligibility window, which included a stunning Goal of the Week against the Western Sydney Wanderers in Round 16.
