Hailing from New South Wales, Kynan Humphreys exemplifies the remarkable young officials that Motorsport Australia proudly counts among its volunteers, a fact clearly demonstrated during the recent Hi-Tech Oils Bathurst 6 Hour held over the Easter weekend.
Residing in Seaham, Kynan has dedicated nearly a decade to serving as an official for Motorsport Australia, taking on numerous responsibilities across various circuit racing events.
Most recently, Kynan made a significant impact while overseeing a flag post at one of the most demanding corners of the Mount Panorama track.
Janelle Orrocks, the Secretary for the Bathurst 6 Hour event, was thoroughly impressed by Kynan’s professionalism in several high-stress scenarios.
“His corner experienced multiple crashes, including a rollover that saw a car perched atop the tyre wall,” Orrocks noted.
“Kynan remained composed and focused under pressure, relaying clear and concise information about each incident to Race Control.”
Having earned his accreditation as an official in 2017, Kynan is regarded as a promising talent within Motorsport Australia, with substantial potential to enhance his skills and advance through the officiating ranks.
In recognition of Kynan’s indispensable contributions to the sport, he will be awarded a $100 Supercheap Auto gift card, along with a commemorative pin and certificate.
