Danish international Jonas Wind, currently representing Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a fresh muscle injury sustained during training, as confirmed by Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking in a press conference on Thursday.
“The outlook for Jonas Wind is not positive. He will be out for a significant period due to another muscle injury,” stated the coach during the media briefing, according to Wolfsburg’s X profile.
The talented Danish forward has been battling with injuries, having only recently returned to full fitness after an extended absence.
Back in November, Wind underwent surgery for an injured thigh muscle and now finds himself sidelined once more.
Reports from Wolfsburger Allgemeine indicate that the right thigh is once again causing issues for the striker.
Last weekend, Wind managed to find the back of the net for the first time in 330 days during a match against Bayer Leverkusen.
This season, he has made 11 appearances for a struggling Wolfsburg side that is currently facing the threat of relegation from the German Bundesliga.
