Following an exhilarating opening weekend of the 2026 Ninja A-League Finals Series, the Australian Professional Leagues (APL) has announced the details for the first leg of both Semi-Final clashes.
Melbourne Victory have made it to their seventh Semi-Final in the past eight seasons after securing a gritty 3-1 victory over Canberra United in front of an impressive crowd.
This sets the stage for a Melbourne Derby Semi-Final, as Victory—who are the lowest-ranked team to win in the Elimination Final—will face Premiers Melbourne City.
The opening leg is scheduled for Saturday, 2 May at AAMI Park, kicking off at 5pm AEST. Details regarding the second leg of the Melbourne Derby Semi-Final will be announced in the coming week.
In the other Elimination Final, Brisbane Roar booked their spot in the Semi-Finals for the first time in five years, triumphing 3-0 over Adelaide United in front of a full house.
The Roar will now take on Finals Series newcomers Wellington Phoenix in the other Semi-Final, with the first leg set for Sunday, 3 May at Spencer Park.
The Phoenix will host the return leg in Wellington on Sunday, 10 May at Porirua Park, where they have confirmed that a temporary stand will be constructed at the northern end to increase capacity.
Tickets for the first leg of the Semi-Finals will go on sale early next week, and fans can keep up-to-date with all the latest ticket information via the A-League Finals Hub.
