Brisbane Roar have finalised a short-term agreement to sign the reigning NPLQ QLD Goalkeeper of the Year, Anneka Lewerenz, for the remainder of the 2024-25 Ninja A-League season.
Lewerenz makes the move from Sunshine Coast Wanderers following the recall of American goalkeeper Olivia Sekany by her parent club, Racing Louisville, based in the United States.

The 25-year-old Lewerenz, who hails from the USA but relocated to Australia in 2018, has made a name for herself as one of the top shot-stoppers in Queensland over the last two seasons.
She earned the title of 2024 NPLW QLD Goalkeeper of the Year by maintaining six clean sheets while boasting an impressive average of 4.4 saves per 90 minutes and a 75% save rate for the Wanderers, who concluded the last season in sixth place.
“I am incredibly thankful and excited for the chance to join such a remarkable club, program, and team,” Lewerenz remarked.
“My primary objective for the remainder of the season is to contribute as much as possible to the club and effectively fulfil my role within the team. I look forward to learning from an exceptional coaching staff and talented players.”
