Feyenoord appears destined to part ways with their leading scorer Ayase Ueda, as several Premier League clubs are keen to acquire the talented Japanese striker.
At 27 years of age, Ayase Ueda is enjoying an outstanding season with Feyenoord, currently sitting in second place in the Eredivisie. He boasts an impressive tally of 25 goals in 29 matches, placing him well ahead of the competition, with Ajax’s Mika Godts trailing by nine goals.
Now entering his third season at Feyenoord, Ueda could be on the move this summer, with Tottenham Hotspur, Brighton, Everton, and Leeds United all reportedly interested in securing his services. Renowned transfer expert Ekrem Konur has indicated that Spurs have conducted thorough assessments of Ueda, while Leeds are optimistic that the presence of Ueda’s compatriot, Ao Tanaka, could tilt the balance in their favour.
Ueda made the switch to Feyenoord from Cercle Brugge in 2023 for a reported transfer fee of €9 million. After netting 14 goals in his initial two seasons, he truly made his mark during the 2025-26 campaign, scoring 26 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions.
