Luciano Spalletti has officially committed to remaining as Juventus head coach after the club announced his new two-year contract on Friday.
His extended deal is reported to be worth five million euros (approximately $5.8 million) annually.
“We are thrilled to secure Luciano for an additional two seasons,” stated Juventus CEO Damien Comolli.
Spalletti joined Juventus in October, stepping in to replace the dismissed Igor Tudor, with the task of guiding the team to Champions League qualification.
“Before it becomes public, I want to let you know that we’ve decided to extend my contract for another two years,” Spalletti revealed in a video shared by Juventus, where he addressed his squad.
The club has been impressed with the 67-year-old manager, who is best known for leading Napoli to the Serie A title in 2023.
“Since joining our esteemed Juventus family, Luciano has brought an immediate and positive influence on our players, the entire club, and the wider Bianconeri community,” added Comolli.
Spalletti, who previously endured a challenging term with the Italy national team, has Juventus just one point shy of fourth place, currently held by Como.
However, the actual deficit is two points as Como has triumphed in both encounters against Juventus this season.
Juve will be up against another contender for Champions League qualification, Atalanta, on Saturday night.
