Why Chippa United Faces an Uphill Battle Against Mamelodi Sundowns This Friday

Sundowns have been phenomenal at home across all competitions, with an astonishing league record when playing in front of their supporters.

Unstoppable at Home

Sundowns have clinched victory in their last eight matches, both home and away, in the Betway Premiership, putting them in strong contention alongside Orlando Pirates in the title race.

On their home ground, they have triumphed in 23 of the last 24 fixtures, with their sole disadvantage being a 1-1 draw against Pirates back in November.

This incredible form translates to 70 points out of a possible 72 since their 1-0 defeat to Cape Town City on the last day of the 2023/24 season.

That defeat remains their only home loss in the league over the past four years.

Since their setback against TS Galaxy in August 2022, they have competed in 53 home league matches, achieving 46 victories, six draws, and just that one loss.
