Serie A club AS Roma has once again turned to the Dutch Eredivisie, as they have officially signed FC Twente left-back Anass Salah-Eddine (23), the club confirmed.
The young Dutch defender missed Sunday’s Eredivisie match against Go Ahead Eagles after arriving at the stadium, citing that he “did not feel mentally prepared” due to ongoing transfer discussions.
AS Roma is reported to have paid a transfer fee of €8 million, with an additional €2 million in performance-related add-ons, to the fourth-placed Eredivisie side. Ajax will receive 10% of the total amount as part of a sell-on clause.
Salah-Eddine, a product of Ajax’s youth academy, had initially left the Amsterdam club on loan in 2023, moving to FC Twente before completing a permanent transfer a year later for €1 million.
With this acquisition, AS Roma has secured a second player from the Dutch Eredivisie, following the signing of Ajax full-back Devyne Rensch on January 23rd.
