New revelations have come to light following Tiger Woods’ most recent car accident, with reports suggesting that the golf icon is unwilling to engage a personal driver.
Woods was taken into custody on Saturday (AEDT) after his Land Rover overturned in a two-vehicle collision. Although he recorded a blood alcohol content of 0.00, he still faces additional charges related to property damage and for refusing further testing.
This incident marks the fourth time the 50-year-old has been involved in a vehicular mishap.

As more details unfold, Woods’ reputation behind the wheel is once again being scrutinised.
A source speaking to People reported that the five-time Masters champion is resistant to the idea of hiring a personal driver due to concerns about his privacy.
“He doesn’t want anyone watching over him or knowing his whereabouts… he believes he is capable of driving,” the source remarked.
This follows reports that US President Donald Trump maintains a strict policy against any of his family members riding in a vehicle with Woods at the wheel.
While Trump and Woods are friends, the president is clearly uneasy about the situation.
“It’s an absolute no. He doesn’t want Tiger behind the wheel with his grandkids. Absolutely not,” a source revealed to Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack.
“Trump abhors anything related to drugs or alcohol. That’s a hard line for him, especially regarding his family… In Trump’s view, the risks are just too high.”
Woods is currently in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former wife of Donald Trump Jr.
Donald Jr. and Vanessa share five children from their union before their separation in 2018.

Kevin Kisner, one of Woods’ teammates at TGL, expressed his concerns about the situation.
“This is very troubling,” he stated during an interview with Fried Egg Golf.
“He has been diligently working on his game and striving to regain his physical fitness.
“He was doing everything possible to contribute to our TGL team and prepare for a hopeful Masters return.
“It’s an unfortunate incident. The only silver lining is that no one was harmed, and we can aspire to move forward and support him in his recovery.”
Woods has yet to respond publicly following his arrest, but the golf community that has revered him is facing scrutiny for enabling his fall from grace.
Prominent figures in golf media have been criticised for their avoidance of stories surrounding Woods’ driving incidents, leading to accusations of complicity in his troubling trajectory.
