TS Galaxy have terminated the contract of coach Adnan Beganovic just over a week before the Nedbank Cup final, following a dismal streak of nine losses in their last ten matches in the Betway Premiership. This prompted chairman Tim Sukazi to take action, according to reports from SABC.
Beganovic led Galaxy to their second Nedbank Cup final, where they are set to face Durban City at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on May 2.
However, he will not be on the sidelines for the match, and with the club yet to make an official announcement, speculation is rife regarding his replacement. There is a possibility that Bernard Parker, a former striker for Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana, may step up from his role as assistant coach.
Galaxy’s concerning run in the league has placed them in a precarious situation regarding relegation, although they currently sit five points clear of the play-off zone and six points above Orbit College, who occupy the automatic relegation spot.

While it’s unlikely that The Rockets will face relegation, they have a vital encounter against fellow strugglers Magesi FC on Sunday, which has prompted Sukazi to make this decision.
Beganovic took over the managerial role from Sead Ramovic in November 2024, having been promoted from assistant coach. However, after only securing one point from the last 30 available – a draw against Stellenbosch FC – he has now parted ways with the club.
Galaxy’s upcoming fixtures include further league matches against struggling opponents, namely Marumo Gallants (away), Chippa United (home), title-chasing Mamelodi Sundowns (home), and Lamontville Golden Arrows (away).
