AGF has marked a significant milestone by extending the contract of striker Patrick Mortensen just ahead of the resumption of the Danish Superliga season.
The new deal will see him stay with the club until the summer of 2026.
“I am incredibly proud and thankful to have the opportunity to continue at this remarkable club. Most importantly, I take pride in being in a position where I can keep playing football and demonstrate that I can still find the back of the net,” shared the 35-year-old Mortensen.
“My motivation to keep playing remains high, and I relish every moment spent on the pitch – so it’s fantastic that we’ve secured the new contract,” Mortensen added on the club’s official website.
“His record and goal tally speak volumes, and he has consistently showcased his scoring prowess this season. Despite being an experienced player, his hunger and ambition remain undiminished,” noted Carsten V. Jensen, football director at AGF.
Having signed with AGF from Sarpsborg six years ago, Mortensen has netted an impressive 93 goals in 212 appearances for the Aarhus side.
