Juventus clinched their third consecutive victory without conceding, claiming a 2-0 win over Bologna at home. This result not only bolstered their top-four ambitions but also marked Bologna’s first Serie A defeat in three games, dimming their hopes for European qualification.
Bologna, who had previously not conceded before half-time in their last nine away fixtures, found themselves trailing within just 90 seconds tonight.
After applying pressure on Bologna for the third time in their box, it was clear a goal was imminent, and it arrived when Francisco Conceicao set up Pierre Kalulu, whose cross was flicked in by Jonathan David.
The home side thought they had a second goal just ten minutes later, only for Conceicao’s composed finish to be ruled out for offside. Later in the half, Conceicao was through on goal again, but Federico Ravaglia made a crucial save to deny him.
Continuing to apply pressure, Juve came agonisingly close to doubling their lead in the 34th minute. A clearance fell to Emil Holm at the edge of the area, and his powerful half-volley struck the crossbar.

Just before the break, the lively Conceicao fed a pass to David, but the Canadian’s attempt went wide of the target, leaving Bologna still in the game despite only managing a long-range effort from Tommaso Pobega that missed the mark in the first half.
Riccardo Orsolini’s shot went wide moments after the restart, bringing Bologna closer to the form that had seen them score in their previous 14 away outings.
However, the Bianconeri regained control quickly and extended their lead 12 minutes into the second half. A series of sustained pressure culminated in substitute Khephren Thuram heading home Weston McKennie’s cross.
Bologna had a golden opportunity to pull one back five minutes later, but Jonathan Rowe’s powerful shot hit the post after a low ball from Nadir Zortea.
The final stretch of the match was marked by a lack of significant chances, as Juve comfortably achieved victory, with Luciano Spalletti celebrating the extension of his two-year contract alongside his team’s eight-game unbeaten run across all competitions.
Bologna’s quest for five consecutive away victories came to an end, and it was scarcely a surprise given their winless streak of 30 encounters against this opponent.
