Jamaican sprinting icon Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce demonstrated her competitive spirit at her son Zyon’s school sports day, where she took on other parents in a light-hearted 100-metre race.
The eight-time Olympic champion didn’t hold back, leaving the rest of the parents far behind as she sprinted to victory, earning crucial points for her son’s blue house.
In a video posted by Fraser-Pryce on Instagram, the 38-year-old athlete powered down the middle lane in a blue t-shirt emblazoned with “Zyon 1” on the back, crossing the finish line well ahead of her closest rival.

“They haven’t banned me yet, so I’m at the starting line,” Fraser-Pryce quipped in her Instagram post, paired with a laughing emoji and a rocket emoji.
Once again, the veteran sprinter showcased her unmatched speed in the same event last year.
Fraser-Pryce attended the school sports day to cheer on her seven-year-old son, who also enjoyed his moment of glory by topping the podium in two of his races. Meanwhile, Fraser-Pryce’s husband Jason joined in on the fun, participating in a tug-of-war contest.
A three-time Olympic gold medalist, Fraser-Pryce won consecutive 100m titles at the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Games, in addition to securing gold with Jamaica in the women’s 4x100m relay at Tokyo 2020.
In August 2021, she ran the third-fastest 100m time ever recorded by a female sprinter, clocking 10.6 seconds at the Diamond League meet in Lausanne.

Unfortunately, Fraser-Pryce had to withdraw from the 100m event at Paris 2024 after sustaining an injury during her final warm-up.
In a strange turn of events, she was later seen missing the start of her semi-final due to being denied entry to the warm-up track and instructed to enter through a different gate.
However, Fraser-Pryce recently announced her return to the track is set for 2025.
